Originally found in the Glenora Neighborhood of Edmonton until 2015, The Royal Alberta Museum was moved to it’s current downtown location on 103a Street NW in 2018. Once again open to the public, this incredible museum boasts several permanent galleries showcasing Alberta’s natural and human history, a Children’s gallery, and a live Bug Gallery for the brave. With their newly built facilities with more than 82,000 square feet of exhibition space, where 7000 square feet of it is dedicated specifically to their children’s gallery – there is much to be explored at the Royal Alberta Museum.

There are four main collections to explore in the realm of life sciences, earth sciences, human history, and collections services. The Royal Alberta Museum is open daily to amuse you with fun finds about Western Canadian history, indigenous studies within the cultural studies section.
